HOW LASER TATTOO REMOVAL WORKS
When a tattoo is applied, a needle deposits ink particles in the skin's dermis, the deepest layer of skin. Upon insertion, the immune system recognizes the tattoo ink as foreign material and sends white blood cells to consume them. The white blood cells then dispose of the ink through the lymphatic system to be processed and naturally disposed of.
However, tattoo ink particles are too large in relation to the tiny white blood cells to be removed all at once. So instead, your body continuously works at the ink over time, which is why tattoos are permanent but gradually fade and lose color over a lifespan.
Laser tattoo removal essentially speeds up the natural fading process by breaking down the large ink particles into nanoparticles that are easier for your white blood cells to remove. During a laser treatment, our Trinity laser emits ultra-quick pulses of light energy onto the unwanted tattoo. The ink particles absorb the light energy, heat up, and shatter into tiny fragmented pieces, which your immune system then flushes out.
